These summer nights are prime time for both two-stepping the night away and lounging on the porch, all in one. The good news is, you can do both right here at the Sacajawea Hotel in Three Forks. Embrace the slower pace of small-town life for an evening of music at the Sac. We have plenty of options, so take your pick from open mic nights, karaoke and live local favorites. Check out all the details below.
Thursday night open mic patio nights
Out on the porch on summer Thursday evenings, feel the heat fade from the air while you strum away. The jam session and open mic night starts at 6:30pm, and the tunes roll on well into the evening.
This is the time to debut your new original compositions, play your favorite covers, or just bask in others’ music. You never know when an impromptu jam session will break out, or when an artist you love will make a guest appearance. In fact, each event is hosted by local and semi-famous singer/songwriters.
Saturday Live Music
If participating isn’t your thing and you prefer to leave things to the pros, you’ll love live music Saturdays at the Sac. Take a turn around the dance floor, and shake it to some killer tunes. Local bands and visiting artists bring down the house with a wide range of genres. Here are a few of our local favorites.
Rocky Mountain Pearls
The Rocky Mountain Pearls, a country trio based out of Bozeman, bring down the house every time. Their harmonies will get you ready to two-step, and their energy will up the ante.
This duo is a true gem of the Headwaters region. This Big Sky couple, Colette and Kenny Diamond, bring rock and soul to center stage at the Sac. The smooth sound will get you shaking your hips and nodding your head while you take in the melodies.
Longhorn Band’s country style feels right at home for a rodeo or a barn dance. The mix of fast and slow tempos in their repertoire can get you dancing in just about any style. Fiddle and guitar were made for dancing.
The Sugar Daddies bring a twang to Big Sky Country. This Montana-based trio combines bass, percussion, keyboard, and vocals for a treasured musical movement together under the Big Sky since 2012.
As a three-piece band from Livingston, The Max has been going strong for 35 years now. They don’t call it power pop party rock for nothing!
